Bachelor in Electrical Engineering

The Bachelor programme Electrical Engineering offers a flexible start into the exciting field of electrical engineering and features three majors on which students can focus. Because even beyond matters of general electrical engineering, electrical engineers are at home in nearly all fields of modern life.

The three majors students can choose from are: Power Engineering, Automation Technology and General Electrical Engineering. All majors offer optional courses and project work with a practical focus. By doing so, students will be enabled to pursue their own professional interests. Interdisciplinary course offers support to their professional career.

Moreover, THGA offers a further qualification: graduates can continue and do a Master degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.

THGA is a state-accredited university and does not charge tuition fees. The only contribution due is a small fee for the use of university facilities and public transport in NRW.

Duration:
Full-time: 6 semesters
Part-time: 9 semesters (Major General Electrical Engineering)


Programme start:
Generally, the programme starts in the winter semester; however, students can also enrol in the summer semester.


Entry requirements:
University Entrance Certificate (non-standard entry is also considered), the Bachelor programme is taught entirely in German. Proof of C1 must be provided.
